If there's one thing that really annoys me, it's labeling. How we feel the need to class everyone and everything into exclusive groups, excluding those who don't fit 'the profile'. I don't know how people can ignore this type of discrimination, it's everywhere you look, why can't people accept who they are and learn that maybe not everyone will like the 'real' you. I think that discrimination is a defence mechanism, to hide vulnerability, weakness, the strongest people are those who are true to themselves.

Thjis can easily be seen in schools.
eg, you have punks, townies, moshers, nerds etc. and they are classsed as a group rather than individuals as well. This is prevelant everywhere, however it is human nature to see it as this. I have friends in plenty of different "groups" and i still refer to them as hanging out with the townies or the punks. It is something people do, and isn't really a problem UNTIL people start saying things such as "He's gay cos he hangs around with townies." When people define the personalities of others due to these groups, it is a problem, but the mere existence and classification of the groups are not

Yeah I agree, its getting really stupid now with labeling everyone, like if a boy has long hair he automatically gets labeled 'mosher' , 'punk' or 'grunger' ! If someone wheres a nike top, they will get labeled 'Townie' its getting really stupid now!!

anyone remember the bob monkhouse century , FACTS: Bob enjoys to cut cardboard in his spare time. Bob is continually fascinated by sellotape. The stickiness of the tape is one of Bob' favourite things in the world. Bob owns a high powered computer with which he fights world evil and does his accounts. He also enjoys playing computer games. Bob told me: "I enjoy playing computer games."
