if anyone will post links to such quotes or articles like the infamous "village idiot" quote they would be appreciated. it would be interesting to see them, although currently i think they are just propagander to make a bad "leader" look even worse.
thanks for reading!

The prediction from the Bible actually came from a book written by a man named Michael Drosnin who claimed that the Bible had a code which contained codes predicting events that would happen years from when it was written, including 9/11. But another mathematician did the same number pattern search on the first couple of pages of "Moby Dick" and came up with the prediction of JFK's assassination. So is it actually prediction or is it just coincidence?

Religion. Well if you HAD to put my belives in a box i suppose it would have to me that i was a Pagan. Personally i belive that god is inside all of us it's just none of us no it yet. In my opinion we all need to belive in ourselfs more instead of turning to a godlike figure or a leader of some kind to find the answers. Opinion only so don't get upsett by it FiRe2

These supposed codes:
Mathematitians for decades have been trying to find a formula to break the 'codes' hidden in the bible, tens of thousands of unknown symbols lie in pages of the bible, code breakers say that if you looked hard enough, you could find ANY word or sequence of words in these codes, so don't panic!
Morality:
I believe that a lot of good has come from the bible, I think that whether or not it's litteral teachings are true is irrelivant, the point is that it has given many beings the power the trust, to be compassionate and to forgive, by putting these teachings into tales of miracles, by exhaggerating, these teachings are conveyed in a very powerfull way that has toutched millions around the world. Although, i personally believe that god didn't create man but man created god. Our natural instinct to be inquisative has led us to search for EVERY answer, as to every question is, of course, an answer. The trust that many have in the existance of god had filled people with a sense of direction and fullfilment. If (for argument's sake) there was no life after death, if you led a fullfilled life and feel that you have followed your heart, been true to yourself and your beliefs, does it matter if death is the end?
I don't think that religion is given enough respect, by those who don't choose to follow it AND those who do.

The codes themselves must be almost impossible to find!
if you look at it logically - how many pages are there in the bible? hundreds? maybe even a few thousand? then, amongst all those pages the code can be found vertically, horizontally, diagonally, every-other-word, two-letters-down-and-three-across ect.
it would take many lifetimes to actually find the code (if there was one) and even then how do we know it was only coinsidence?

Alex, there was a documantary on it ( thank you Sky 1!) if the worlds greatest code breakers are struggling to make sense of the reason behind the codes, I doubt that we will, so I think that that issue is irrelivant.
