Ladies and Gents - Welcome to Calvin's Rant of the day! Islam states that a child should not have a name which suggests a quality for example the name Faith as they may turn out to be a blasphemer Or Honesty because they may become President/Secratary of state (note to self: do post about Bush has new secratary of state) Yet still the primeminister of Egypt proudly exhibits the title of "Mubarak" meaning happiness! OK im done! tune in tomorrow! Calvin X

oooo, very delicate subject Cal, are you sure you want to subject me n Haz to it?!
Has anyone else noticed the complete prejudice and tripe printed in the schools R.E. text books ?
We were forced to learn the other day that if you choose to marry, you MUST have sex once you are legally married, as it is a gift from God! But don't worry the book hastened to add that you can only have sex with one person at a time! Please add to my post haz if you can think of anything else we bore wittness to on Tuesday lessons 5+6.

I agree Ash, we're kinda flitting at the moment.
I think that a persons beliefs are very personal and that they should be respected, no matter how they may seem to others. Someones religion can have the power to control a persons every move as religion is the only source that gives reason to the questions unanswerable by science, it would be irrational to demand people not to follow their beliefs.

PLease, PLEASE! don't start me on our school's biased opinion of religion. "Ar y trad, bow your heads," shuv it, u pathetic fascist moron. Go and take your religion into some pathetic cult, The day when religion rots in tis own filthy hell, i will rejoice. Rejoice in the knowledge that a great evil will have been extinguished.
Mr Perks you narrow minded insular fool, just because YOU believe in Christianity, doesn't mean YOU are correct. By all means pray, make me stand there and listen while YOU parade it in my face, but DO NOT TRY AND MAKE ME SAY "THE PRAYER". Wat was that?"THE PRAYER" is this the only prayer??? Frankly, your an oppressive fool, who needs to grow up and accept other culture outside your inward head. *END*

Crikey Charlie Joey, you did have a bad day!! I know what you mean, like when Mr Perks sent Hannah out of assembly for 'dissrespecting' THE prayer. Just because we don't say the prayer doesn't detract from the fact that we respect it's value to those who do.
